BINUS ASO School of Engineering (BASE) is an educational institution whose vision is to create useful and talented services and graduates for industry and society. Therefore, one of the missions of BASE is for graduates to be active in awareness and service for the community to improve the quality of life. One example is Alexander Kevin Daniel Samara, an alumnus of BASE majoring in Production Design Engineering with the brand Ramahija.

Alexander Kevin Daniel Samara, or better known as Alex is a alumnae majoring in Production Design Engineering. Starting from the interest since childhood in the world of design, made him choose this major. Even though he experienced difficulties and did not meet expectations because there were so many engineering-related courses at the beginning of the lecture, this did not make Alex give up until one day he got an understanding from a lecturer that a product should not only be attractive to the eye but must also have a function. . This is what made him realize that Design and Engineering must go hand in hand. After graduating Alex started working in several companies to gain experience, until finally he built his own brand, namely Ramahija.

Ramahija itself was created after Alex realized a problem that existed while he was working, namely the consistency of product results, especially for local craftsmen, this made him think of combining industrial techniques with the skills of the craftsmen so that product results could continue to be consistent as the products produced. industry. Ramahija also aims to be able to utilize natural materials and remaining waste, then reduce the use of animal skins in products as well as empower and advance the economy of local craftsmen, especially housewives. To achieve all of these goals, Ramahija uses 4 Sustainable Development Goals, namely No Poverty, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economics, and Responsible Consumption and Production.
