Industrial engineering is one of educational program learning engineering in related to the development, improvement, and implementation of a concept combining knowledge to innovate useful products for human living. In Indonesia, some educational institution – SMK (vocational school) and University – have Industrial Engineering program, and BINUS UNIVERSITY as one of the superior private universities is included.

BINUS – ASO School of Engineering, a cooperative program between BINUS UNIVERSITY and ASO College Group, has an industrial engineering school consisting of two programs: Automotive and Robotics Engineering and Product Design Engineering. Both programs are part of industrial engineering. In Product Design Engineering program, students learn thoroughly how to develop a concept for designing a product, how to utilize the right materials and combine harmonious colors to innovate a product. Ultimately, the objective of product design engineering is not only learning the basic knowledge of industrial engineering and product design, but also improving the creativity and innovation which could be realized into a good product.

“I really enjoy studying at BINUS – ASO School of Engineering (BASE) because the lecturers are smart and helpful to the students. Besides that, there are complete facilities available for each lecture. I love the independent task lecture in which I could use my creativity and innovation skills to create an interesting product design,” said Ronny, a student of Product Design Engineering program. (JR)
