BINUS UNIVERSITY GAINS A 3-STAR RATING FROM QS
Applying to a university is a huge life decision. Therefore, young people have to be smart in making their choice. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is an institution that measures a university’s rating through QS Stars, grouping their measurement to 8 categories: Research, Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, Facilities, Access, Engagement, and Specialist Criteria. Each of these categories is rated from 0 up to 5+ star ratings.
In 2011, BINUS UNIVERSITY was rated 2 stars by QS Stars. The rating itself is only available once every 3 years for a university. In 2014, BINUS UNIVERSITY has been rated for the second time and we come out with an overall 3 Stars . A further encouraging result is that from this overall rating, the 30+year-old university earned 5 stars in 5 categories: Teaching, Employability, Facilities, Access, and Engagement.
These ratings mean that BINUS UNIVERSITY’s quality is well-recognized at the national level and has started to be acknowledged at the international level. With these, a university is deemed as having the capacity to produce graduates who live up to the needs and demands of both local and global corporations.
As it aims toward its BINUS 20/20 vision, “a world-class university, in continuous pursuit of innovation and enterprise”, BINUS UNIVERSITY gladly embraces these recognitions, confirming that it’s on the right track to make its vision comes true. (AL)
