As part of Computer Engineering, this program helps students develop the ability to analyze, design and build mechanical and automated electronic systems for automotive parts and manufacturing processes using design tools used in global industries today. It includes the design and development of 3D mechanical systems, electronics and computer systems, robotic and automation systems, and automotive and operations engineering.
Courses are specifically designed to give students the required basics of science, foundations in computer and mechanical engineering, and more focused skills in automotive, robotics, and automation system development. Students will have the opportunity to study sets of specific technical skills: 2D & 3D modeling using Autocad® and CATIA®, prototyping, circuit design for embedded systems, Assembly and C language programming for embedded system, MATLAB® programming for digital signal processing & artificial intelligence, labVIEW® programming for control systems, PLC programming, industrial robot programming, and enterprise computer network design.
The modern lab facilities support the program: Computer Lab, Physics Lab, Electronics Lab, 2D Drafting Lab, 2D & 3D CAD Labs, Robotics Lab, and Manufacturing Lab.
Graduates will be able to apply knowledge of engineering, such as control systems, signal processing, and intelligent systems, to identify, formulate, and solve robotics and automation problems in the context of the manufacturing industry; design mechanical and electronic systems for automotive components or manufacturing processes within realistic constrains using updated and necessary design tools; analyze and interpret data from operations or experiments in order to maintain and improve manufacturing processes; an ability to communicate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, engage in life-long learning, and an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
