A simplified version of this diagram is commonly referred to as a mind map.<\/p>\n<p>This diagram is particularly useful when improvements are needed within a system. As the saying goes, \u201ca picture is worth a thousand words,\u201d the rich picture diagram provides comprehensive overview of a situation or system. It helps identify overlooked processes and minor yet significant connections within the system. Upon arrival, the vehicle will take a parking ticket. Next, the vehicle will park in the available parking lot. When leaving the parking lot, the driver will scan the ticket and complete the payment for the parking fare.<\/p>\n<p>Figure 2 presents an improved parking system incorporating new features, such as parking reservations, membership options, and parking detectors. Those who uses the traditional ticket system will follow the same process as figure 1. However, members who scanned the membership card will scan once more when existing and will not be required to pay the parking fare. Additionally, members can reserve a parking slot in advance as well.<\/p>\n<p>The system also introduces parking detectors to improve efficiency. Available slots are marked in green, occupied slots in red, and reserved slots in blue.
